The Value of Fresh We at Buds to Blooms are simply tired of the falsehood that we as Americans have some of the best foods in the world...Yes, we usually do have an abundant supply of crops and food, but at what cost? By the time your "FRESH" produce reaches you at the market it has already lost about half, if not more, of its nutritional value. We believe that this is something that every person who visits a produce department in a large grocery store should be concerned and aware of.
Know what you eat Over the past few years we have all heard reports on the news or some form of media informing us that the lettuce, tomatoes, or some other type of food that we consume every day are being recalled in large quantities. The everyday consumer is unaware of what type of herbicides and pesticides are sprayed on these crops to deter insects. There is also the question of what types of fertilizers are being used. (i.e Organic or chemical, and if organic what is the source) Some sources may have been contaminated at one time or another. If chemical, are all the chemicals flushed out before it is harvested?
